On Friday, June 21 from 9am to noon, ASEDD (pronounced A-said: Awareness Support and Education about Dementia for Delta County) will host Delta’s Dementia Duck Dash at Cedaredge Town Park, in recognition of The Longest Day® — a national day of action symbolizing the long, emotional journey of dementia, also known as "The Long Goodbye."

The community is invited to participate in Delta’s Dementia Duck Dash, a lighthearted event with a meaningful purpose. Rubber ducks can be sponsored for $5 each or 5 for $20, with all proceeds backing ASEDD’s caregiver support programs, respite care, volunteer training, and dementia awareness efforts. Prizes will be awarded to the top-finishing ducks.

June 21 will focus on:

• Recruiting local volunteers to assist with caregiver outreach, educational events and BOD participation

• Providing awareness to families currently caring for loved ones with memory loss

• Programs and resources about dementia in Delta County and Colorado
